Artist statement:
Douglas Gray is a painter and printmaker who studied at Dundee College of Art and the Royal College of Art in London. He tends to work on themes, such as Temptation or Scottish History. His work is usually in oil paint and is dynamically figurative and richly coloured, taking inspiration from the German Art of the 20th century. His painting are about ideas and are satirical and humorous. |
