Artist statement:
Jean is a textile artist, living in Dalgety Bay where she works from her dining room and small studio in her garden. A lot of Jean's work is taken from photographs she and her husband have taken over their travels. After printing onto material her pieces are further embellished with stitch. Jean's work is greatly inspired by her love of nature and history in Scotland. Jean belongs to two textile groups, Fibertrix and Pheonix11 and is a member of Dalgety Bay Art Club. Jean has won many awards for her work and tours the country doing talks and giving workshops. She also teaches her own workshops in Dalgety Bay. |
