Artist statement:
Ceramic artist Martine Greig hand builds with occasional thrown pieces. She uses the traditional Raku firing technique in an unconventional way by making figurative work. Through both the making and firing each piece is truly unique. The chance effects whether it is a copper or a crackle glaze continue to inspire her. Finding humour and having fun are equally important to her work process and finished creatures. |
