Artist Statement:
Jeweller and Printmaker Mary Farrell’s work is grounded in play and experimentation. She finds inspiration for her hand-made, silver jewellery in nature’s forms and patterns, combining the linear and abstract in pieces which embrace the irregular, adding playful elements of movement, texture, and tone. In printmaking her interest is in the complex structures and hidden architecture of nature’s small worlds, aiming to communicate a sense of energy and vibrancy. Her work reflects her love of colour, line, and experimentation. |
