Susie Redman: Handwoven

Artist statement:
Susie has collected textiles on her travels in Europe, India and Nepal, and since childhood has knitted and designed garments and rag rugs. When she was given a traditional Swedish floor loom a few years ago she started upon a weaving journey. Susie is a founding member of Fibreshed Scotland and is committed to creating sustainable textiles to wear and for the home. Susie enjoys weaving with natural fibres such as linen, cotton and British Lambswool. All pieces are handwoven and finished in her Burntisland studio. Her inspiration comes from Scandinavian textile design and colour palette |
