Artist statement:
Tina prints wild plants and paints with the soil in which they grow. She is on a mission to deepen our relationship with the wild plant world. The plants ‘draw’ themselves and this in fact continues the historical practice of Nature Printing. Leonardo da Vinci was the first to describe a similar method of printing plants. She also runs a plant printing printing workshop and calls her practice, ‘Edaphic Plant Art’. Tina graduated with a First Class Fine Art degree from DJCAD, Dundee in 2018 after a career as a Biochemical Engineer. |
